Chrissy is an absolute asset to this practice. She proved her compassion and intelligence with our family dogs over 10 years ago (I was a teenager). When I got my own cat, Sunny, a little over a year ago, Chrissy once again proved herself by going above and beyond. Without me asking (or thinking of it) she found previous records on him that answered many questions right off the bat. She remembers details about my allergy-ridden boy and will save samples or info about new products and scour the internet when his food is out of stock. She will always listen, learn, and give honest advice no matter what silly question I ask
Dr. Marotta is a stellar doctor. He is compassionate, thorough, and will make sure you understand every detail of care. He will sit on the floor with Sunny the entire visit, only putting him on the exam table when it’s time to do the actual exam. He isn’t afraid and trusts him the same way I do. He and his assistant drew blood and gave a vaccine right in the room with nothing more than a towel to make a loose kitty burrito. They didn’t take him to the back or hold him too tightly, scruff him, stuff him in his carrier, nothing.
Chrissy, Dr. Marotta, and every tech/assistant I’ve had over the years are kind and trustworthy and love my baby (almost) as much as I do.
Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, my cat gets better heathcare than I do. Yes, it’s worth every penny.

If I could give more than five stars, I would. Dr. Marotta and the entire team at Countryside Vet Clinic in Shelton have been nothing short of incredible. As new patients, we walked in hoping for good care. We walked out knowing we found the place we’ll trust for years.

Dr. Marotta is thoughtful, patient, and unbelievably thorough. He took the time to walk us through every detail when we learned that our dog, Buster, has diabetes. Instead of leaving overwhelmed, we left confident. His explanations were clear, comforting, and honestly the reason we felt at ease during a pretty stressful moment.

The staff matches his energy perfectly. Everyone we met was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in Buster’s well-being. It never felt rushed. It never felt transactional. It felt like real care from people who love what they do.

We’re new to Countryside, but I can already say this: finding a vet and a team like this is rare. I couldn’t be happier with the experience, and I’m grateful Buster is in such capable hands.

I love countryside! O have been taking my two dogs there for years and Dr Santee os absolutely amazing. He truly loves animals and cares for them.
He always makes us feel like a valued member of the countryside family.

I love all the drs here, they are all so wonderful. Dr Gamble has been overseeing the end stages of life for my furbaby and her knowledge and compassion and dedication to the pets she sees are so wonderful. It’s so nice when drs care as much as you do about the wellbeing of your pets. I’ve been going here since moving to Shelton and they are just great and so close to my home. I appreciate all they do for us and our doggos!
