Dr. Kelly Shanley started doing relief work for Countryside in 2022. She was born in Buffalo but moved to CT to attend high school in North Branford. Kelly went on to study at Southern CT State University earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry. During undergraduate school, Dr. Shanley worked as a veterinary technician. In 2006 Dr. Shanley pursued her dream of practicing veterinary medicine by graduating summa cum laude from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also sought additional training in shelter medicine and has worked with animal rescue organizations since 2002. Dr. Shanley is currently obtaining her certification in pet acupuncture therapy.
Most recently she enjoys working closely with the Branford Compassion Club. Dr. Shanley lives in North Haven with her husband, 3 children, 2 cats (Jack and Aubie), and 2 dogs (Ash and Georgia). She is active in the community and pursuant of client education.
